  • JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position Summary:

    Primarily responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing supporting schedules, and managing Accounts Receivable.

    Essential Functions:

    • Complete monthly spreadsheets, workpapers and supporting schedules.
    • Prepare other schedules as requested by Management.
    • Reconcile all bank accounts for McCabe, Hamilton & Renny Co., Ltd., JBG Corporation, Shoreside Maritime Services, and Crosstrail.
    • Prepare schedules for annual CPA review.
    • Prepare monthly variance report for financial statements.
    • Prepare and enter payroll journal entries.
    • Input cash receipts into accounting software.
    • Update Accounts Receivables and contact customers for past due amounts.
    • Process monthly customer statements.
    • Reconcile employee payroll deduction accounts.
    • Manage Fixed Asset Ledger and calculate monthly depreciation expense.
    • Maintain prepaid expense accounts and calculate monthly expense.
    • Complete job costings as requested.
    • Ensure effective internal controls.
    • Complete continuing education as directed by CFO or President.
    • Responsible for keeping area safe and notifying Safety Director of safety hazards.


    Working Hours:

    • Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.


    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting software
    • Five years of accounting experience
    • Public Accounting experience preferred
    • Organized

    Position Summary:

    • Manage, direct, and oversee cargo handling activities and equipment for various maritime
    • Manage operational productivity while adhering to health and safety
    • Conduct oneself in the best interest of our customers and the

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Clear communication with customers, management and longshore personnel
    • Pre-planning of operations as needed or required
    • Conduct pre-operational inspections (e.g. identification of preexisting cargo damage) and operational job-site hazard analysis
    • Prepare and deliver pre-operational safety briefings
    • Accurate and timely completion of operational logs as required to include, but not limited to, time sheets, operational and equipment logs and use, damage reports and Incident/Injury reports.
    • Proficiency and working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreements with the ability to apply the knowledge
    • Health and Safety compliance to include, but not limited to, PPE compliance, personnel, equipment, cargo safety and other safety initiatives as needed
    • Manage productive and efficient use of manpower
    • Assist in company training efforts
    • All duties as assigned

    Education and Experience:

    • High School or Equivalent
    • Prior supervisory experience (3 Minimum)

Candidate should be adaptable in learning new computer technologies and skills.

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Responsible for processing of weekly payroll
    • Update payroll deductions, corrections, withholdings, and other records
    • Verify payroll hours, wages deductions
    • Generate weekly, monthly, annual reports
    • Learn new software or programs as needed

    Working Hours:

    • Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm.

    Education and Experience:

    • Organized
    • Able to complete tasks by weekly schedule
    • Detail oriented
    • Reliable and responsible
    • AA degree or higher in Accounting
    • Advanced user of Excel (extensive use of Excel Spreadsheets)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Considerable discretion, judgment, high degree of confidentiality, and professionalism
    • Highly degree of confidentiality and discretion
    • Able to prioritize multiple duties and tasks
