Position Summary:
McCabe Hamilton and Renny, Co., Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is ethical, organized, detail oriented, and skillful in the handling of confidential information. Candidate should be adaptable in learning new computer technologies and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing of weekly payroll
- Update payroll deductions, corrections, withholdings, and other records
- Verify payroll hours, wages deductions
- Generate weekly, monthly, annual reports
- Learn new software or programs as needed
Qualifications
- Organized
- Able to complete tasks by weekly schedule
- Detail oriented
- Reliable and responsible
- Advanced user of Excel (extensive use of Excel Spreadsheets)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of confidentiality and discretion required
- Highly degree of confidentiality and discretion
- Previous work in data entry preferred, but not required.
Additional Info:
- This is an in-person, full-time position.
- Normal Work Hours: 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Flex hours are available.
- Work Week: Monday through Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Reporting to the VP, of Operations, the Operations Manager will be responsible for enforcing the Wharf Clerks Collective Bargaining Agreement, overseeing the scheduling of wharf clerks, monitoring and auditing wharf clerks' time sheets for billing and payroll, monitoring required documents by the Company, customers, and government departments, conducting work site visits and surveys, and meeting our customers’ expectations. The operations manager will be responsible for training the supervisor and identifying their short- and long-term training needs to develop the skills required to enhance productivity and work quality. The Operations Manager will identify and arrange suitable training requirements for Union Employees.
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of the Wharf Clerks CBA “Collective Bargaining Agreement”.
- Knowledge of Excel Software to be able to navigate and/or design a schedule/time sheets template.
- Oversee wharf clerks’ daily schedule, check for efficiency and attendance.
- Audit the accuracy of the daily time sheets and meet the payroll deadline.
- Periodic workplace assessment and safety briefing.
- Oversee wharf clerks’ duties to ensure that all work procedures are met, all documents are completed properly, and information is accurate.
- Meet with customers to ensure that all wharf clerks exceed job assignments
- Support and be trained to fill the payroll, billing, and accounting clerk post
- Responsible for ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed and adhered to.
Working Hours:
- Outdoors in all types of weather,
- Indoors, air-conditioned room,
- May require some inter-island travel
- Available to work flexible days and hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- On call
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions.
- Professional, appropriate appearance
- Ability to work with management, bargaining employees, and customers
- Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects, and function effectively.
